I have just retired as a vet after 39 years and was looking to contact Andrew to thank him for his help and guidance many years ago. I saw practice at Strang and Pocock before going to Liverpool in 1980 and during my student years. I was rather in awe of Andrew who was an excellent and hard working vet. He helped shape my approach to veterinary life and I am deeply grateful. I remember calling at his home between visits over many lunchtimes and meeting his family. I also remember struggling to keep awake in the car as Andrew listened to Test cricket on the radio. I didn’t realise he’d just passed so I would like to give my condolences to the family and send them my very best wishes Hadyn O’Neile
